Adell Community Fellowship didn't begin as a Church but as a school. The Adell school house was built in 1917. It was a two room structure and measured 70' X 40'. The land for the school was donated and volunteers of the area completed the actual building with donated material. The school continued until 1943 when it was consolidated with the Peaster independent school system. In 1946 the Peaster school system donated the building back to the Adell community . In 1947 another small community south of the Adell community called Authon decided to unite with a newly formed church called Adell Baptist. The first service saw approximately 12 people attending. Through the years Adell Baptist Church continued to grow and in November of 2001 it became a non-denominational Church called Adell Community Fellowship. God has continued to bless this new vision plan with a growing membership and additional facilities. Currently the church is involved in local and world-wide ministries. What began as a small rural school has evolved into a vibrant church touching the lives of Parker County, Texas, and the world for Jesus Christ. |
